Why did we insist on pursuing the complex route to HIPAA compliance and SOC-2 Type-2 certification before we even hit the market?

It was not a demand from prospective employers interested in working with us.

Firstly, because our founding team comprises seasoned healthcare executives and military intelligence engineers. We know that with great power comes great responsibility.

Secondly, because of a simple truth we learned in the ideation phase of the company-building process: Fijoya is all about trust.

This is why our approach to data privacy is a serious undertaking, where we continuously strive to exceed the high standards in the market.

Here are 4 ways we commit ourselves to gaining trust from employees when it comes to their health data.

A culture of security and data privacy.

We maintain best, routinely-updated practices in data privacy and security. This includes routine penetration testing and periodic employee security awareness and training. Additionally, we undergo periodic assessments by an external Security Panel, which focuses on secure engineering, compliance, and partnerships.

No third-party data sharing.

The platform provides an extensive marketplace that includes a breadth of point solution vendors and aims to match users with relevant vendors and services based on the user's medical needs and preferences. Fijoya only provides information on these vendors, and at no point shares personal data to any of the above mentioned vendors, nor any other third party.

All data is anonymized.

Employee information remains entirely personal and private. Our anonymization process is rigorous, removing all personally identifiable information to ensure that the data cannot be traced back to individual employees.

We provide unbiased recommendations.

There are no preferred vendor partners in the Fijoya platform. Our recommendations are purely data-driven without any commercial incentive otherwise. This is further upheld through a diligent quality assurance process of the recommendation engine itself.
